The beginning of summer has passed, and the hot summer is coming. Although the optical fiber transmission cable of the fiber laser can be used in a harsh environment, the laser has high requirements for the use environment. In the environment of high temperature and humidity, pay attention to prevent the laser from condensation, otherwise the electrical and optical components of the laser will be damaged or out of order, thus reducing the performance of the laser, or even damaging the laser. In order to avoid condensation, the environmental conditions in which the laser is located must be within specific limits.

【1】 Requirements for laser working environment

1. Working ambient temperature of laser: 10 ℃ - 40 ℃

2. Humidity of laser working environment: 10% - 80%

Avoid the laser from working in the red condensation dangerous area as shown below. The specific control standards are as follows:

【2】 How to prevent laser condensation

1. If conditions permit, a separate air conditioning room shall be built for high-power laser, and the water cooler and laser shall be placed in different spaces. It is strictly prohibited to place the water cooler in the laser air conditioning room;

2. The ambient temperature of the independent space where the laser is placed is lower than 35 ℃ C, and the ambient humidity is lower than 60%;

3. It is recommended that the equipment cabinet be sealed and installed with industrial air conditioner to keep the cabinet at constant temperature and humidity, which can effectively avoid laser condensation;

4. When the ambient temperature and humidity are too high, if there is a condensation alarm, no operation is required, please wait for 15 minutes before the alarm is released to work normally;

5. The cooling water temperature of the laser QBH interface is relatively loose. The water chiller with dual temperature and dual control can properly raise the set water temperature to be higher than the dew point, but the set water temperature should not be higher than 30 ℃;

6. Each time you restart the machine, you need to operate it in the correct order.

Start up

(1) Turn on the laser power switch;

(2) Run the monitoring software for 15 minutes or more to observe the humidity display, and turn on the chiller when the humidity is lower than 50%;

(3) The equipment starts cutting.

Shutdown

(1) Turn off the chiller;

(2) Turn off the laser;

(3) Turn off the whole machine;

Warning: The laser has been shut down and the chiller is still running!

【3】 What to do if the laser dews?

1. If the laser is found to have condensation, it should be stopped immediately;

2. Wipe the condensed water on the laser shell clean, and start the laser after the condensation phenomenon is completely eliminated;

3. Cool and dehumidify the environment to the required area.

【4】 Laser protection on rainy days in summer

There are many thunderstorms in summer. In order to prevent the laser from being damaged in a rainstorm, please disconnect the main power supply of the laser, and pad the electric control cabinet, laser and water chiller to prevent huge maintenance costs from soaking in water. The low-lying workshop of the plant shall be guarded by personnel to prevent flood and waterlogging and minimize property losses. If the equipment is wading, do not blindly power on for testing.
