In the sheet metal processing industry, the optical fiber laser cutting machine has been widely used to cut stainless steel and other metals. The laser beam will illuminate the metal surface to melt it, and then blow the molten metal liquid away through the gas. So as to achieve the purpose of cutting.
For stainless steel products, laser cutting stainless steel is a fast and effective processing method. However, when the optical fiber laser cutter cuts stainless steel, some problems occasionally occur, which have the greatest impact on the cutting quality. In fact, these problems are easy to solve. In the process of processing, if the processing parameters of the laser cutting machine are strictly controlled, the processing quality of stainless steel workpiece can be well guaranteed.
1. If the drop burr is small during processing, the main reason is usually that the focusing force is too low or the feed speed is too high. Therefore, we need to adjust accordingly to increase the focus or reduce the feed speed.
2. If irregular filiform burrs appear on both sides of the notch during processing, the surface of the stainless steel plate will change color. There are usually four main reasons: 1. Low feed speed 2. High focus 3. The material is too hot. Then, we need to make corresponding adjustments: 1. Increase the feed speed; 2. Reduce the focus; 3. Increase the air pressure; 4. Cooling materials.
3. If there are irregular burrs on only one side of the cutting edge during machining, there are usually four main reasons: 1. The nozzle is not aligned; 2. The focus is too high; 3. The air pressure is too low; 4. The speed is too low, and then we need to make corresponding adjustments. 1. Enter the nozzle; 2. Reduce the focus; 3. Increase the air pressure; 4. Increase the speed.
In the process of cutting stainless steel, we also encounter other problems, such as yellow cutting edge. The main reason may be that the nitrogen used by the cutting machine is impure and contains oxygen impurities.
