When laser cutting carbon steel, burrs usually appear on the workpiece. Why does this happen? Chuyu Laser will take you to learn.
When laser cutting carbon steel, the workpiece will have burrs.
The following are possible causes:
(1) Laser focus position shift. Focus position test is necessary. And adjust the offset according to the offset of the laser focus;
(2) The output power of the laser is insufficient. It is necessary to check whether the laser generator works normally. If it is normal, observe whether the output value of the laser control button is correct. If it is not adjusted properly, check whether it is correct.
(3) Cutting line speed is too slow. And it is necessary to improve the linear speed in the operation control;
(4) Cutting gas is not pure enough. High quality cutting working gas must be provided;
(5) Running the machine for too long will cause instability of the machine. At this point, it needs to be shut down and restarted.
Common problems of laser cutting machine cutting carbon steel?
The following are the reasons for incomplete laser cutting:
(1) The selection of the laser nozzle does not match the thickness of the processing plate. The nozzle or processing plate must be replaced;
(2) Laser cutting line speed is too fast. And we should control and reduce the linear speed.
When abnormal sparks occur when cutting carbon steel, the following reasons should be considered.
As we all know, when cutting carbon steel normally, the spark is long and flat with few cracks. And the occurrence of abnormal sparks will affect the smoothness and quality of the cutting part of the workpiece.
In this case, if other parameters are normal, the following should be considered:
(1) The nozzle of laser head is seriously lost. We should replace the nozzle in time;
(2) The working air pressure shall be increased without replacing the new nozzle;
(3) If the thread at the connection between the nozzle and the laser head is loose, stop cutting immediately, check the connection status of the laser head, and then re thread.
