5. Burr

    In the process of metal laser cutting machine, the high energy generated by the laser beam irradiating the surface of the workpiece makes the surface of the workpiece vaporize rapidly, and evaporates, and the slag on the surface of the workpiece is blown off by the auxiliary gas. If the auxiliary gas is not used, after the slag cools, burrs will form on the cut surface. Because burr removal requires extra work, the quality of the cut can be intuitively judged by observing the number of burrs.
