The focusing lens is a piece of lens that contacts the processing surface when the fiber laser cutter works. Affected by smoke and slag during cutting, dust is easy to attach to the focusing lens. When the lens surface is dirty, the light transmittance of the focusing lens becomes low and the heat absorption becomes high. If the cleaning work is not done well, the lens will become easy to burst. How can we extend the service life of focus lenses?
1. Generally, in the laser sealed optical path, dry, oil-free and dust-free positive pressure air is used to ensure that dust and impurities in the atmosphere cannot enter the optical path, so as to prevent the pollution of optical lenses.
2. The waste slag generated by laser cutting makes the auxiliary air blow downward from the cutting nozzle, thus greatly reducing the damage of waste slag to the lower part of the focusing lens.
3. In case of high-speed perforation, the perforation oil can be sprayed before perforation, so that the slag will not fall vertically to the cutting torch, but to the side. Thus reducing the damage to the lens.
4. The use of high-speed perforations should be minimized, and the use of conventional perforations can prolong the service life of the focusing lens.
5. Clean and maintain the focusing lens before starting the machine every time. When cleaning the focus lens of a fiber laser cutting machine, clean wiping paper and optical-grade solvent are often used to prevent damage by other pollutants. Wiping paper must be wetted with appropriate solvent, and must not be used dry. In consideration of softness, the available wiping paper is pure cotton wiping paper or cotton ball, lens paper, cotton swab and other applicators.
