Laser processing can design and cut various graphics, which has been widely used in the field of metal processing industry. Before cutting, drawings need to be imported into the equipment program, and then use the device's typesetting software to arrange the graphics on the plate, so the equipment can perform batch cutting processing according to the drawings. Next, Redsail Laser will give you a brief explanation of the precautions for laser cutting machine typesetting.

1: Reasonably plan the cutting route

Parts that have been cut will sometimes tip over. If the laser cutting head is rerouted again, it may cause damage to the cutting head and loss. Therefore, during typesetting, it is necessary to reasonably plan the path, bypass the cut parts, and avoid collision. At the same time, selecting the best cutting path can reduce the cutting time and improve the work efficiency.

2: Grasp the part spacing

When cutting thin plates, the space between parts can be appropriately narrowed. When cutting thick plates and hot plates, pay attention to leaving enough space during typesetting, because the heat effect of thick plate hot plates is relatively large, otherwise it is easy to cause the adjacent parts to be greatly affected by heat, or sharp corners and small figure shaped edges of cutting corners appear, affecting the cutting quality.

3: Corner cutting treatment

When cutting corners at a reduced speed, long cutting time will melt the metal materials at the corners, and the increase of the heat affected zone will reduce the product quality. A small radius can be generated at the corners, so that high-speed cutting can be maintained and good cutting quality can be obtained.

4: Leader Settings

When cutting thick plates, in order to better connect the slits and prevent burns at the beginning and end of the cutting process, a transition line is usually introduced at the beginning and end of the cutting process, called the lead and tail line respectively. The lead and tail line have no effect on the workpiece itself, so they should be arranged outside the scope of the workpiece. At the same time, it should be noted that the lead lines should not be set at sharp corners and other places that are not easy to dissipate heat.

5: Co cutting

The cutting time can be shortened by combining two or more kinds of parts with the same edge to make large quantities of regular graphics have the same edge as much as possible.
