We all know that the optical fiber laser cutting machine, like the car, needs to add antifreeze, but the antifreeze needs to be diluted with water before it can be used, so how to mix it properly?

This problem needs to be configured according to different regions where our optical fiber cutting machine is located. For details, please see the following:

1、 When the content of ethylene glycol is 60%, the freezing point can be reduced to - 48.3 ℃. When this limit is exceeded, the freezing point will rise instead;

2、 The antifreeze liquid is composed of 40% ethylene glycol and 60% soft water, and the antifreeze temperature is - 25 ℃;

3、 When ethylene glycol and water account for 50% of the antifreeze, the antifreeze temperature is - 35 ℃.

Secondly, we understand why the antifreeze stock solution used by the optical fiber laser cutting machine should be mixed with deionized water to dilute the concentration of ethylene glycol, instead of pure water or mineral water.

Because deionized water and mineral water are not the same thing in essence, deionized water does not contain any mineral elements, but mineral water contains the mineral elements needed by the human body, and mineral water cannot replace plasma water. If the antifreeze on the optical fiber laser cutting machine is to be diluted, the best choice is deionized water. If mineral water is to be selected, the mineral elements contained in the antifreeze are likely to have chemical reactions, damaging and blocking the cooling circulating system.

To sum up, the correct proportion of antifreeze used by the optical fiber laser cutting machine should be: first dilute the antifreeze solution with plasma water, and then add it into the optical fiber cutting machine. In warm areas in the south of China, the proportion with ethylene glycol mass fraction of 40% is generally adopted, while in cold areas in the north of China, the proportion with ethylene glycol mass fraction of 50% is appropriate.
