In the cutting process of laser cutting machine, auxiliary gas is indispensable! Of course, we often use oxygen and nitrogen. The higher the purity of the gas, the better the cutting quality. There are many customers who want to save costs and use gas cutting. However, during the cutting process, there is always water mist on the protective lens, and the cutting quality is very poor. Why?
What if there is water mist on the protective mirror of the laser cutting machine?
First of all, why should auxiliary gas be used for laser cutting:
1. To blow away the residue and achieve the best cutting effect;
2. Effectively achieve the effect of flat cutting surface, no burr, no slag hanging, belonging to fine cutting;
3. Blow away the metal slag with gas to protect the lens and prevent the slag from sticking to the lens and affecting the cutting quality;
4. It can react with materials and improve cutting speed. For example, combustion support can be achieved by using oxygen.
Although air can be used as an auxiliary gas, because the air contains water and oil, if not treated, it will lead to lens pollution and unstable cutting head, so the cutting effect and quality cannot meet the standard. Therefore, when air cutting is used, it is necessary to equip the fiber laser cutting machine with a cold dryer, which can solve this problem well. The cold dryer can forcibly cool the compressed air below the required dew point temperature, so as to condense a large amount of water vapor and oil mist contained therein into liquid drops, and then discharge the compressed air out of the machine through gas. Liquid separation to dry compressed air.
Cleaning steps for lens protection of laser cutting machine:
The material used to protect the lens is ZnSe (zinc arsenide), so it is relatively fragile and is afraid of falling off. When disassembling, the following points must be noted: Do not use too much force or collide with hard objects. When cleaning the laser cutter to protect the lens, always use clean wiping paper and optical grade solvent to prevent damage from other contaminants. Due to the relatively small size and surface defects of most contaminants, magnifying equipment is often required when inspecting lenses.
Instead, you can operate with gloves and special suits. For smaller lenses, it is more convenient to use optical tweezers or vacuum tweezers. No matter which method is used to clamp the optical fiber laser cutting machine to protect the lens, it can only clamp along the non optical surface (such as the frosted edge of the mirror edge). Wiping paper must be moistened with proper solvent and cannot be used dry. In consideration of softness, the available wiping paper is pure cotton mesh wiping paper or spreader, such as cotton ball, mirror paper and cotton swab. In addition to amplification equipment, sometimes we also need to use relatively bright beams to illuminate optical surfaces to enhance the specular reflection intensity of surface contaminants and defects,
